Are you interested in a Virtual Author Visit?

I'm now booking virtual school visits (and in-person locally) for 2023-2024 !

Virtual school and library visits by an author are an exciting and engaging way to promote literacy!  A virtual visit is a 25-30 minute Skype session to include a brief discussion about the story characters and theme, followed by the story reading and then a Q&A session.

I'm a children’s author who loves rescue dogs as much as I love to write! So, naturally, I combined them! I've authored three children’s books, all with rescue dog themes and each with lessons applicable to children everywhere:

  • SECOND-CHANCE SAM: King of the Junkyard

    • Everyone deserves a second chance!

    • Making new friends, being thankful for what we have, not to judge a book by its cover

    • Love is a beautiful gift!

    • The importance of family, doing one’s duty, and giving of oneself to bring others happiness

  • CAROL’S QUEST FOR COURAGE, A Santa’s Dog Story

    • Courage grows inside each of us!

    • Finding one’s voice, trying new things, and the importance of helping others

Have other ideas you want to incorporate? Sounds great! Email me to discuss and to learn how to get a FREE virtual author visit!

*A 2019 Kirkus Reviews' Best Book*

A lonely shelter dog gets a new lease on life in this fun story about acceptance.

"A moving tribute to shelter dogs, the humans who love them, and the wisdom of looking beyond outward appearances."

Kirkus Reviews (starred review)

Everyone deserves a second chance!

Santa’s best dog falls from the sleigh and finds a family who needs him. A timeless story that shows us how love is a beautiful gift and a powerful force, even when our loved ones are far away.

Sometimes the best gifts choose YOU!

(A Santa's Dog Story)

Santa's singing dog is too afraid to sing! Carol leaves the North Pole in search of her voice and finds a girl in need of help. Can Carol overcome her own fears to help the girl? Root for Carol as she proves that courage grows inside each of us!

Courage grows inside each of us!
