Virtual school and library visits by an author are an exciting and engaging way to promote literacy! A virtual visit is a 25-30 minute Skype session to include a brief discussion about the story characters and theme, followed by the story reading and then a Q&A session.

I'm a children’s author who loves rescue dogs as much as I love to write! So, naturally, I combined them! I've authored three children’s books, all with rescue dog themes and each with lessons applicable to children everywhere:

-
SECOND-CHANCE SAM: King of the Junkyard
-
Everyone deserves a second chance!
-
Making new friends, being thankful for what we have, not to judge a book by its cover
-

-
SANTA’S DOG
-
Love is a beautiful gift!
-
The importance of family, doing one’s duty, and giving of oneself to bring others happiness
-

-
CAROL’S QUEST FOR COURAGE, A Santa’s Dog Story
-
Courage grows inside each of us!
-
Finding one’s voice, trying new things, and the importance of helping others
-
Have other ideas you want to incorporate? Sounds great! Email me to discuss and to learn how to get a FREE virtual author visit! joann@joannsky.com
